Kris Lees chasing big race success in two states

Trainer Kris Lees is targeting major race success across New South Wales and Victoria with several contenders at long odds. Lees has entered Rivellino and Night Agent into the $10 million Golden Eagle, with both runners quoted at $101 behind race favorite Sheza Alibi. Although acknowledging the difficult task, Lees is confident both horses are performing well enough to outperform their odds and secure significant prizemoney.

In addition to the Golden Eagle pair, the stable could run Tavi Time in the $750,000 Sydney Gold Cup on the same card. Meanwhile in Melbourne, Lees will start colt Under Focus in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington, noting the three-year-old has worked well despite drawing barrier one.
