Midfield trio, next debut and contracts: Five Saints questions we’re all asking

Dan Hargraves outlines five key questions surrounding Southampton as Tonda Eckert's side navigate the Championship season following a pre-season points deduction. The queries focus on when in-form under-21 striker Princewill Ehibhatiomhan will make his senior debut, whether Caspar Jander, Flynn Downes, and James Ward-Prowse will start together in midfield, and Tom Fellows' irregular playing time.

Additionally, the article highlights contract situations at the club, noting sporting director Johannes Spors is positive about talks over a new deal for Eckert. Questions also remain over players whose deals expire next summer, including Ryan Manning, Cam Bragg, and Sam Edozie, as Saints prepare for tests against upcoming promotion rivals.
