The Jacksonville Jaguars have been matched with Daron Payne to address their glaring need at defensive tackle.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler identified Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne as a potential trade target for the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of the November 10 deadline. The Jaguars reportedly need a versatile interior pass rusher, and Payne could be made available by Washington due to his contract status and the team's past trade history.
Black and Teal's Carlos Sanchez argues that Payne would instantly improve Jacksonville's defensive front alongside Arik Armstead and DaVon Hamilton. Acquiring Payne would require taking on around $8 million in remaining salary, with Sanchez suggesting a fourth-round pick might be sufficient compensation for a permanent trade.
