Referee Andy Madley has not taken charge of a traditional 'big six' clash in over two years in the Premier League but will be the man in the middle at Anfield on Sunday…

Referee Andy Madley has been appointed to officiate Liverpool's Premier League match against Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday. The assignment marks Madley's first top-flight 'big six' clash in more than two years, with his last such fixture being Manchester City's 3-1 win over Manchester United in March 2024.
Madley has previously overseen 17 Premier League fixtures involving Liverpool and five involving Arsenal. His past matches include a controversial 3-3 draw between Liverpool and Newcastle United in 2024, which led to a tunnel exchange with former Reds manager Arne Slot.
