Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has been discharged from the hospital following his collapse at the club's training ground last Friday. Bayern Munich CEO Max Eberl confirmed Kompany returned home on Wednesday to continue his recovery, noting that the former Manchester City captain is doing well under the circumstances.
Eberl revealed that Kompany had been diagnosed with meningeal irritation, an issue affecting the protective layers of the brain. While assistant coach Aaron Danks currently oversees first-team operations, Eberl expressed strong confidence that Kompany will return to the touchline at full strength in the near future.
