The Toronto Maple Leafs are up against it as the injury list continues to grow.

The Toronto Maple Leafs provided updates on multiple injured players on Wednesday, revealing star winger Kirill Marchenko is week-to-week with a lower-body injury. Defenceman Chris Tanev has been upgraded to day-to-day after practicing without a no-contact sweater, with head coach Jim Hiller indicating he could return as early as Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks.
Nick Blankenburg, John Tavares, and Marshall Rifai remain week-to-week with injuries. Meanwhile, forward Dakota Joshua was recalled from a conditioning loan and could make his season debut Wednesday against the Seattle Kraken if his equipment arrives on time.
