Sergio Perez performed a show run for Cadillac in his home country ahead of this weekend's Mexican Grand Prix.

Sergio Perez completed a show run for Cadillac in Mexico City ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix, driving a car created for "F1: The Movie". An estimated crowd of over 100,000 spectators gathered along the Paseo de la Reforma to watch the Mexican driver. Because Cadillac is in its debut Formula 1 season and lacks older machinery, the team utilized the movie car, which features a Formula 2 chassis with bodywork modified by Mercedes.
The demonstration took place shortly after Cadillac announced a contract extension keeping Perez with the team until at least 2029. Perez expressed gratitude to the team and fans as he prepares to make his 300th career Grand Prix start this weekend at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
