Manchester City's second-choice goalkeeper produced two penalty saves as the Blues beat Brighton and Hove Albion 4-3 in a Carabao Cup shootout…

Manchester City goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli revealed he told Enzo Fernandez before their Carabao Cup tie against Brighton that he would save two penalties if the match went to a shootout. Following a 2-2 draw in regular play, Rulli fulfilled his prediction by stopping spot kicks from Yasin Ayari and Lewis Dunk to secure a 4-3 penalty shootout victory.
Brighton held leads through Malick Yalcouye and Georginio Rutter before Mateo Kovacic and Vitor Reis leveled the match for City. Despite Rulli's heroics, manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will return to the starting lineup for the upcoming Premier League match against Brighton.
