McLaren will bring further upgrades to its 2026 car in Brazil and Las Vegas, team principal Andrea Stella has confirmed, as the team tries to halt a slide that has dropped it to fourth in the Constructors’ Championship.

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella confirmed the team will introduce car upgrades in Brazil and Las Vegas to target a return to podium contention. After a mid-season surge featuring back-to-back wins for Lando Norris in Hungary and the Netherlands, McLaren has dropped to fourth in the Constructors' Championship behind developing rivals.
Drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri noted that rival teams have outpaced McLaren's development, leaving the car difficult to drive. Norris highlighted that persistent slow-speed cornering issues and rear grip weaknesses continue to hinder the MCL40.
