West Ham’s £70m outcast trio back in picture after Bowen intervention claim

West Ham United outcasts Edson Alvarez, Soungoutou Magassa, and Maxwel Cornet were all included in the club's official 2026/27 squad photograph. The release came alongside reports claiming club captain Jarrod Bowen asked manager Nuno Espirito Santo to reconsider his stance on midfielders Alvarez and Magassa, suggesting their work ethic and abilities could benefit the team following their failed summer moves away from the club.

Hammers News noted that squad photograph appearances do not guarantee reintegration into Championship matchday squads, though Magassa has recently featured in a friendly and made a matchday bench. While Alvarez and Cornet face more difficult paths back into Nuno's plans, the midfielder's recent public praise of Bowen and team injury issues have added intrigue to their situations.
