Celtic captain backs returning fan favourite to have major impact on title race.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor praised winger Jota after he provided his first goal contribution in 556 days during a 2-2 draw with Dundee United. Jota, returning from an 18-month knee injury layoff, came off the bench to assist Liam Scales' 65th-minute equaliser. McGregor highlighted the 27-year-old as a key difference-maker for the club in the ongoing Scottish Premiership title race.
McGregor also defended summer signings Kasper Hogh and Haissem Hassan, who arrived for a combined £20 million fee. Despite Hogh enduring a 13-game goal drought and Hassan recording just one assist in nine games, McGregor echoed manager Martin O’Neill’s backing, stating the squad must better support the forwards.
