Fernando Alonso has doubled down on his comments regarding the low driving standard at the back of the Formula 1 grid after the United States Grand Prix.

Fernando Alonso has doubled down on his criticism of driving standards at the back of the Formula 1 grid following a clash with Alex Albon at the United States Grand Prix. Alonso previously stated that the quality of drivers in the rear third of the field is very low, reiterating that his opinion remains unchanged after reviewing the incident with Albon.
Alonso explained that less competitive cars are more difficult to drive and have less grip, leading to frequent unnecessary mistakes and collisions. He also argued that drivers fighting for future seats take excessive risks despite the financial pressures of the sport's cost cap, while absolving race stewards from blame.
