Liverpool are ready to make contact over a mega transfer deal.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing to contact Barcelona to complete a permanent £46m (€55m) transfer for defender Ronald Araujo in January. The Uruguayan is currently on loan at Anfield with an option to buy, having impressed supporters while resolving the club's issues at right-back following Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure.
Writer Bence Bocsak highlights that manager Andoni Iraola also faces midfield depth shortages due to an injury to Dominik Szoboszlai. While praising Alexis Mac Allister and prospect Trey Nyoni, Bocsak argues that Liverpool still need further squad depth to remain competitive.
