Tim Sherwood says former Tottenham star should have played for Real Madrid

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood stated on The Greatest of All Teams podcast that former midfielder Mousa Dembele had the quality to play for Real Madrid. Sherwood praised the Belgian's exceptional press resistance, calling him a genius whom Tottenham have still failed to replace since his departure to Guangzhou R&F in January 2019.

Writer Rae Nkwocha examines Tottenham's historical struggles to replace Dembele's unique midfield control, noting that subsequent signings like Tanguy Ndombele fell short of expectations. The author highlights current midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes as potential solutions for manager Roberto De Zerbi, citing Fernandes's impressive display in Tottenham's recent 2-0 win over Chelsea.
