Baker Mayfield Reveals Stance on Falcons Coach

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield stated that he has not spoken with new Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski since 2021. Stefanski previously coached Mayfield with the Cleveland Browns before the team traded the quarterback away. Ahead of their Week 8 matchup, Mayfield confirmed there has still been no contact between them, though he noted that the lack of communication no longer bothers him.

Stefanski also commented on Mayfield ahead of the divisional clash, offering praise for his former quarterback's ongoing playmaking ability, talent, and mobility. The upcoming game marks Mayfield's first start against Stefanski since establishing himself as Tampa Bay's franchise quarterback.
