The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are centering their Week Eight defensive game plan on containing Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson. Ahead of the divisional clash between the 2-5 Buccaneers and the 3-4 Falcons, nose tackle Vita Vea and inside linebacker Josiah Trotter emphasized the critical need to maintain disciplined run fits and prevent Robinson from generating explosive plays.
Robinson entered the matchup leading the NFL with 704 rushing yards and 907 yards from scrimmage. Buccaneers Run Game Coordinator Larry Foote praised the Falcons back by comparing his elusive running style to Barry Sanders, noting Tampa Bay must rely on sound tackling and team defense to slow him down.
