The Orioles are expected to decline their $20MM club option on outfielder Luis Robert Jr., reports Francys Romero of BeisbolFR. Robert will become a free agent and collect a $2MM buyout on his way out the door. More to come.

The Baltimore Orioles are expected to decline their $20 million club option on outfielder Luis Robert Jr. for the 2027 season, according to Francys Romero of BeisbolFR. As a result of the decision, the 29-year-old outfielder will receive a $2 million buyout and enter free agency.
Baltimore claimed Robert off waivers from the New York Mets in August to aid a playoff push, but he appeared in just three games before a hamstring injury ended his season. Across three injury-shortened seasons, Robert has struggled to replicate his 2023 All-Star campaign and is expected to attract interest on a one-year bounceback contract.
