The Kings headed east to play five games in nine days, hopefully the trip will allow them to regroup and move on from the slow start of the season…

The Los Angeles Kings finished their five-game road trip with a 2-1 defeat against the Chicago Blackhawks, following a high-scoring 6-3 victory over the New York Rangers. Los Angeles took an early lead through Samuel Helenius, but the Blackhawks responded with power-play and third-period goals from Roman Kantserov and Wyatt Kaiser to hand the Kings a loss and finish their trip with a 3-2 record.
The previous night against the Rangers, four Kings defensemen—Brandt Clarke, Drew Doughty, Mikey Anderson, and Joel Edmundson—scored, alongside Taylor Ward and Artemi Panarin. Doughty surpassed Dustin Brown with his 713th franchise point before missing the Chicago game due to injury. The Kings now head home to begin a seven-game homestand in Los Angeles.
