The St. Louis Blues snapped a two-game scoring drought by defeating the Boston Bruins 4-1 on Thursday night at Enterprise Center. Robert Thomas and Philip Broberg led the offense, each tallying a goal and two assists, while Jimmy Snuggerud and Jake Neighbours added key power-play markers. Goaltender Joel Hofer made 31 saves to secure the victory for St. Louis.
After falling behind 1-0 on a goal by Boston's James Hagens, the Blues capitalized on special teams by scoring two quick power-play goals off face-off set plays. St. Louis finished 2-for-3 with the man advantage against Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman, concluding their challenging five-game homestand with a 3-2-0 record.
