Detroit Red Wings interim general manager Shawn Horcoff said that he's not rushing to trade Dylan Larkin, who was suspended from the team without pay on Thursday after informing the club he no longer wanted to be part of it.

Detroit Red Wings interim general manager Shawn Horcoff stated he is in no hurry to trade Dylan Larkin, following the former captain's suspension without pay on Thursday. The team disciplined Larkin after his agent, Pat Brisson, notified management that the forward would no longer report to the rink or play for the club. Larkin had originally requested a trade during the offseason.
Horcoff emphasized that moving Larkin's contract presents significant challenges regarding salary cap logistics and preferred destinations, noting he is prepared to wait as long as needed to secure the right return. Larkin, who has five years remaining on his contract, will forfeit more than $41,000 per day throughout the suspension.
