The Miami Dolphins suffered a major blow when De'Von Achane tore his ACL in Week 3, but Ollie Gordon II has more than adequately replaced him.

Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II has developed into a focal point of the offense following De'Von Achane's season-ending torn ACL in Week 3. Over a recent three-game span, the second-year back rushed for 291 yards on 52 carries, averaging 5.6 yards per attempt.
Writer Shayne Kubas argues that Gordon's emergence establishes him as a true difference-maker who complements quarterback Malik Willis in head coach Jeff Hafley's physical rushing attack. Kubas believes Gordon's performance eases long-term concerns regarding Achane's future workload upon his projected return in 2027.
