Head coach had been tipped for the sack after Bournemouth and Como defeats…
Michael Carrick will remain in charge of Manchester United for their upcoming Premier League match against Chelsea. Despite widespread expectations that he would be dismissed following consecutive defeats to Como and Bournemouth, the club has decided to retain him at Stamford Bridge to give him an opportunity to reverse an eight-match winless streak.
Carrick held crisis talks on Monday with executives Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada. Although United have reportedly sounded out Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann as potential replacements, Carrick will lead the team through a difficult schedule that also features upcoming matches against Roma and Aston Villa.
