The Story in 60 Seconds

Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho has confirmed winger Josh Murphy could return to action against Burnley this Saturday. Murphy has been sidelined since August following surgery on a groin problem that restricted him to just two appearances this season. Portsmouth will make a final decision on his fitness ahead of the upcoming Championship match.

Mousinho explained that having Murphy available will enable Portsmouth to implement full width, pace, and power while rotating wingers to ease workloads. The Blues' attacking depth has been tested by injuries, including Keshi Anderson sustaining a serious hamstring issue and youngster Luke Brooke-Smith suffering severe ankle and leg injuries in September.
