Everton striker Thierno Barry's home was burgled during his team's 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle United on Thursday night. Barry delivered an impressive performance, scoring a goal and assisting another to send Everton into the quarter-finals. However, the Daily Mail reported that the property was broken into while Barry and his partner were at the match.
Barry assisted Hayden Hackney before scoring from a Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall pass in the win. Following the incident, Barry's partner described the burglary on social media as extremely distressing and violating, and a financial reward has been offered for information identifying those responsible.
