The Nuggets take longer than any other team to bring their players back from injury. But sometimes, that extra time doesn't lead to better results.

Writer David Decker highlights that the Denver Nuggets take an average of 16% longer than other NBA teams to return injured players to the court, yet recurring setbacks remain an issue. Last season, the starting lineup missed a combined 136 games due to various injuries.
Decker points out that players like Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun, and Peyton Watson faced injury re-aggravations last season despite extended recovery periods. Early in the current season, Spencer Jones and Julian Strawther are both sidelined, leading Decker to argue that Denver should re-evaluate its recovery timelines and protocols.
