The Anaheim Ducks have officially returned forward Nikita Klepov to the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL for the rest of the 2026-27 campaign. Selected 15th overall, the forward went scoreless with a -2 rating and averaged 13:03 of ice time across four NHL appearances before the reassignment.

Because Klepov did not reach 10 NHL contests, the Ducks can slide his entry-level contract to next season. Writer Brennan McClain noted that while returning Klepov to Saginaw allows him more playing time, signing him prevented him from playing college hockey at Michigan State University.
