Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has ruled out a January loan move for 19-year-old winger Estêvão Willian, despite the Brazilian starting only twice in 11 games across all competitions this season. Alonso confirmed that there have been no discussions regarding a temporary exit, emphasizing that the forward remains firmly in his plans.
Alonso explained that Estêvão, who was an unused substitute in Wednesday's Carabao Cup penalty shootout loss to Liverpool, must still adapt to the physical tempo of the Premier League and improve both with and without the ball before earning regular playing time.
