The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are among several teams monitoring New Orleans Pelicans forwards Herbert Jones and Trey Murphy III ahead of the trade deadline. According to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel, both players have emerged as major targets, with New Orleans reportedly seeking two first-round draft picks, including one unprotected, for either forward.
Jones has seen a diminished role this season, averaging 6.0 points in under 20 minutes per game, while Murphy is averaging 14.2 points across 32.4 minutes. Additionally, ClutchPoints' Jedd Pagaduan suggested the Lakers could target Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon to address their starting power forward spot.
