The San Francisco 49ers are in buy mode ahead of the NFL trade deadline and wide receiver Jordan Watkins could help them make a splash.

Niner Noise writer Nick San Miguel argues that the San Francisco 49ers could use wide receiver Jordan Watkins as a trade asset ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. San Miguel suggests San Francisco could bundle Watkins with draft capital to target an elite receiver such as Garrett Wilson from the New York Jets.
San Miguel notes that Watkins is under a rookie contract through 2028 and could appeal to rebuilding teams seeking developmental talent. Although moving Watkins risks thinning San Francisco's receiver depth, the writer believes the return of injured veterans like Deebo Samuel and Mike Evans makes Watkins expendable for an upgrade.
