Brooklyn Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez addressed his team's winless 0-4 start to the season ahead of an NBA Cup matchup against the Detroit Pistons. Brooklyn stands as the sole winless team in the Eastern Conference following a narrow defeat to the Boston Celtics decided by a Jayson Tatum buzzer-beater.
Speaking to the New York Post, Fernandez emphasized that he wants the team to play with an edge rather than anxiety and expressed confidence that their first victory will arrive soon. The Nets added Julius Randle to boost playoff hopes, though Fernandez holds a 46-122 overall record since being hired ahead of the 2024-25 season.
