Chicago White Sox fans received email invitations to participate in upcoming focus groups regarding Justin Ishbia’s proposed new stadium in the South Loop. The sessions seek feedback on potential ballpark features, seating options, and game-day enhancements for "The Railyards" development project. Although sent directly by the White Sox to protect customer contact data, the club indicated it is merely acting as a messenger for Ishbia’s venture, City River Holdings.
The initiative forms part of a multi-year planning effort connected to plans to replace Amtrak's current facility with the ballpark. Ishbia is slated to potentially take control of the franchise from current chairman Jerry Reinsdorf when the team's lease at Guaranteed Rate Field concludes after the 2029 season.
