Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving offered strong praise for head coach Dusty May, highlighting his confrontational approach and emphasis on preparation. Speaking via reporter Noah Weber, Irving initially joked that he did not want other coaches across the league to become jealous before describing May as demanding yet clear about his expectations.
Irving's positive comments followed a 116-111 NBA Cup victory over the Houston Rockets, where he scored 35 points alongside Cooper Flagg's 33 points. The endorsement comes amid reports from ESPN's Shams Charania that rival teams are closely monitoring Irving's status across the league.
