Former Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans star Joe Mixon offered his first public thoughts since his failed comeback effort.

Former Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon has made his first public comments since a planned comeback attempt with the Seattle Seahawks collapsed. On October 30, Mixon posted a message of faith on X alongside a video promoting his athletic sock line, having remained unsigned after Seattle declined to add him to their practice squad following an October physical.
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed that the move simply did not work out. Mixon missed the entire 2025 season with a private foot condition while with the Houston Texans, and his ongoing health issues leave his NFL future in doubt as he remains an unrestricted free agent.
