Sal Licata is not treating Bo Bichette's first season in Queens as a verdict. The WFAN host and SNY contributor expects the Mets third baseman to grow into the deal as two earlier stars did.

WFAN host Sal Licata predicted that New York Mets third baseman Bo Bichette will rebound from a difficult debut season similarly to franchise stars Mike Piazza and Francisco Lindor. Bichette, 28, recently exercised his $42 million player option for 2027 to remain with the team.
Bichette endured a challenging first year in New York, finishing with a .260 average, 18 home runs, and 78 RBIs in 160 games while transitioning to third base. Despite early struggles and boos from home fans, Bichette improved significantly in the second half and expressed optimism about his and the team's future.
