The Phoenix Suns lost their third game of the season to the Denver Nuggets by the final score of 127-120. The Suns’ chaotic style of play from last season returned, but the defense remained their Achilles’ heel in the loss.…

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Phoenix Suns 127-120 behind a sharp perimeter shooting display on Friday. Jamal Murray paced Denver with 39 points, including 28 after halftime, while Christian Braun contributed 31 points. Both Murray and Braun knocked down seven 3-pointers each as Denver converted 20 of 38 attempts from beyond the arc. Dillon Brooks scored 20 points in the first half for Phoenix but was ejected in the third quarter following a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 on Murray.
Miles Bridges led the Suns with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Devin Booker added 20 points. Phoenix received strong bench contributions from Collin Gillespie, who finished with 16 points and 10 assists, whereas Jalen Green struggled with just two points in 25 minutes of play. Kevin Humpherys argues that despite the defensive lapses and the loss, the Suns took a step in the right direction by recovering their high-energy style.
