For the last few seasons, it has felt at times as if the Minnesota Timberwolves were truly knocking on the door to the title. They’ve certainly been in the mix: they made back to back Western Conference Finals in 2024…

The San Antonio Spurs host the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 31, 2026, in a rematch of last season's Western Conference Semifinals. San Antonio enters on a three-game winning streak with a 3-2 record, while Minnesota sits at 4-2. The Timberwolves will be without star guard Anthony Edwards, who is sidelined following knee surgery, as well as Dante DiVincenzo.
San Antonio looks to capitalize on Minnesota's injuries behind Victor Wembanyama, who matches up against fellow French center Rudy Gobert. The Timberwolves rely heavily on newly acquired guard LaMelo Ball to run the offense during Edwards' absence, while the Spurs will play without forward Tobias Harris due to a calf issue.
