Brett Harris joined the SF Giants in September but hit just .158 in 15 games, leaving his future uncertain after a season spent with three organizations.

Nathan Hirschi of Around the Foghorn reviews infielder Brett Harris's 2026 campaign, arguing he is likely to be removed from the SF Giants' 40-man roster. Harris joined San Francisco after being claimed off waivers from the Boston Red Sox in September. He struggled during his late-season audition, batting just .158 across 15 major league games with the Giants.
Harris spent the 2026 season across three different organizations, previously playing for the Athletics and the Red Sox. Because Harris exhausted his final minor league option year, Hirschi expects the Giants will likely place him on outright waivers rather than tender him a contract for next season.
