Sheffield United handed suspension blow v Preston North End after Wrexham decision…

Sheffield United defender Liam Kitching will miss the upcoming Championship trip to Preston North End after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Wrexham. Kitching was penalized by referee David Webb in the second half following a collision with Wrexham striker Sam Smith, triggering an automatic one-match ban.
Blades manager Chris Wilder will now look to Mark McGuinness or Jamal Baptiste as potential defensive replacements at Deepdale. Both players were named on the substitutes' bench against Wrexham, where Sheffield United had initially taken the lead courtesy of a first-half goal from Ben Brereton Diaz.
