Does Scottie Barnes care about setting personal records or reaching milestones? Well, it depends on the time of year.

Scottie Barnes scored a career-high 41 points along with five rebounds and five assists, but the Toronto Raptors fell 121-114 to the Orlando Magic on Friday in their opening NBA Cup game. Following the defeat, Barnes expressed frustration over the outcome and dismissed the milestone, noting he had little interest in personal records right after a loss.
Both Barnes and Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic voiced strong displeasure regarding officiating discrepancies during the game. Despite taking 34 field-goal attempts, Barnes was awarded just three free throws, contributing to Orlando holding a 29-15 advantage in total foul shots. Center Jakob Poeltl also posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
