Brennan Johnson and Tyler Dibling are both vying for a place on the right wing for Everton…

Former England international Alan Smith has questioned Everton wingers Brennan Johnson and Tyler Dibling, claiming Johnson never seemed like a David Moyes signing. Johnson joined Everton from Crystal Palace in an August swap deal involving Dwight McNeil but has struggled for impact recently, managing just nine touches during a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal.
Dibling, who signed from Southampton for £35 million in summer 2025, has also seen limited playing time under Moyes, making only cameo league appearances. Smith suggested that while Johnson may have been signed simply for squad depth, the talented 20-year-old Dibling deserves an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities.
