It was a quietly impressive 2026 NASCAR Cup Series for the part-time operation of NY Racing Team.

NY Racing Team and driver Joey Gase are expected to sit out the remainder of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season following a season-best 21st-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway. The part-time No. 44 Chevrolet is not entered for the upcoming race at Martinsville Speedway, and the team currently has no plans to participate in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The non-chartered organization completed seven starts during the 2026 campaign split between Gase, J.J. Yeley, and B.J. McLeod. Yeley and Gase each recorded top finishes of 21st, coming at Michigan International Speedway and Talladega, respectively, falling just one position short of the team's all-time best Cup Series result.
