The Kansas City Chiefs will have to move on from Jets receiver Garrett Wilson as a trade target, an NFL insider reported.

The New York Jets will not trade wide receiver Garrett Wilson ahead of the NFL trade deadline, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kansas City had reportedly eyed the 26-year-old star to bolster their passing attack, but a source confirmed there is no way New York moves him. Wilson remains under a four-year, $130 million contract extension signed 15 months ago that runs through 2030.
ESPN's Benjamin Solak had previously suggested the Chiefs could offer Xavier Worthy alongside first- and third-round draft picks in a potential permanent trade. With Wilson officially off the market, analysts suggest Kansas City could shift focus to alternative receiving targets such as Jacksonville Jaguars wideout Brian Thomas Jr.
