Wales have completed an impressive WXV Global Series campaign, prevailing 29-5 over Japan to take a 2-0 series victory and finish 2026 on a high.

Wales completed a 2-0 series sweep over Japan in the WXV Global Series with a 29-5 victory in Kumagaya. Sean Lynn's side scored five tries to one, led by a double from winger Amy Williams alongside tries from Nel Metcalfe, Kelsey Jones, and Sisilia Tuipulotu. Moe Nagaoka scored the sole try for the host nation.
Despite Japan controlling nearly 70 percent of possession in the second half, the Welsh defense held firm. Wales finished the match with 13 players after late yellow cards to Bryonie King and Keira Bevan, closing their 2026 campaign on a high after a winless Six Nations earlier in the year.
