The Story in 60 Seconds

The Vancouver Canucks have placed forward Filip Chytil on injured reserve and recalled forward Jacob Quillan from the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks. Chytil suffered a hard hit from San Jose Sharks defenseman Darnell Nurse during Vancouver's 3-2 road loss on Thursday. The Czech forward missed Friday's practice and is currently being evaluated for a re-aggravation of a pre-season upper-body injury.

Canucks general manager Ryan Johnson announced Quillan's promotion ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
