Larkin is now suspended from the Red Wings after opting not to play as he awaits a trade.

Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin is refusing to report to the team to pressure the front office into accommodating his trade request. In response to his absence, the Red Wings suspended the Waterford native without pay. Prior to his holdout, Larkin had recorded six points in 10 games this season.
Speaking on Daily Faceoff LIVE, analyst Jeff Marek suggested Larkin's camp, led by agent Pat Brisson of CAA, believes Detroit has not operated in good faith. Marek explained that Larkin's representatives feel the team has failed to match their professionalism despite Larkin honoring expectations and playing through the process.
