Incoming Los Angeles Lakers owners Josh Kushner and Bob Iger are reportedly offering minority stakes in the franchise to investors starting at $250 million. The duo agreed over the summer to purchase the team from Mark Walter at a record $12.5 billion valuation, with the official NBA Board of Governors vote expected to take place in November.
According to a report by Front Office Sports, minority stakes are being marketed for between $250 million and $300 million, with some investors expected to contribute significantly larger sums. The report dismissed claims that Kushner is struggling to raise funds, citing high investor interest, while noting Kushner and Iger are not expected to purchase the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.
