Luka Doncic has been given the reins to lead the LA Lakers this season following LeBron James' departure.

Former NBA champion Channing Frye stated on his show Channing's Mailbag that Luka Doncic will never win an NBA championship due to his high usage rate. Frye compared the Los Angeles Lakers guard to James Harden, arguing that such an individualistic style of play is unsustainable for winning titles despite Doncic's elite talent.
Frye acknowledged the Lakers' strong 4-1 start to the season following LeBron James' departure, but expressed concern over the physical toll and pressure placed on Doncic to carry the offense alongside Austin Reaves. Despite Frye's skepticism, Doncic remains an early MVP favorite as the Lakers navigate the new era.
