Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders made a brilliant save at the end of today’s game to preserve a clean sheet. If you enjoy Talk Chelsea coverage…
Talk Chelsea writer Will Faulks highlights Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders producing a crucial fingertip save in stoppage time to secure a clean sheet. Penders was looking for redemption after scoring an own goal on his Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur the previous week, followed by a midweek appearance against Liverpool.
Faulks notes that while Penders still showed weaknesses by spilling a save during the first half, his late heroics provided an encouraging display while filling in for Emi Martinez. In the same fixture, Morgan Rogers scored following a run through the Manchester United defense, and youngster Estevao received a standing ovation.
