The New York Islanders have recalled 22-year-old defenseman Isaiah George from AHL Hamilton, the team announced on Saturday. The move comes as defenseman Ryan Pulock remains sidelined with an upper-body injury sustained during Thursday's 4-3 overtime victory against the Minnesota Wild. According to the New York Post, the Islanders expect Pulock to miss at least a game or two, beginning with Saturday afternoon's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers.
George, a fourth-round pick in the 2022 draft, recently returned to Hamilton's lineup after recovering from an upper-body injury suffered on October 9. The young defenseman has recorded one goal and five assists across 37 career NHL games and is currently playing in the final season of his entry-level contract.
