The Oklahoma City Thunder have reversed course and made an unexpected decision on this former first-round pick.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have reversed course and decided against signing free agent wing Ochai Agbaji. Oklahoma City had initially planned to add the former 2022 first-round pick to their roster, but backed out following significant injury news regarding starting center Chet Holmgren.
Holmgren is expected to miss more than two months after undergoing a procedure to repair a torn right patellar tendon. With Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace also sidelined by long-term injuries, the Thunder front office opted to reconsider its open roster spot to address more pressing frontcourt needs.
